Search engine optimization is technique used to rank a website as high as possible in the search result. SEO can be divided into two, on-page optimization and off-page optimization. Here we are going to discuss about on page optimization and the different steps involved in it.

SEO On-Page Optimization 

SEO on-page optimization is the factors that we perform on the webpage to make it  listed first in the search result. These factors will be performed by our-self. Some of the examples of on-page optimization is HTML code, meta tags, keyword placement etc.

SEO On-Page Optimization Steps

SEO on-page optimization includes different steps so that we can achieve top rank in the search result. Lets have a look into it. 

• PAGE TITLE

Page title has a great importance in your website. It should be a unique keyword and also the title should be relevant to the contents of your webpage. We should include the primary keyword in the title. The title should not exceed 70 characters and   the maximum pixel width should be 512. Title should be meaningful to the users.

• META DESCRIPTIONS

Meta descriptions has the same importance of title as it appears in the bottom of your title in the search result. It is an important place to include the relevant keyword to your content. This description will lead the user to visit your website. So it should have the information that attract the users.

• URL

Include appropriate URL for your page.  Its better to use shorter URL as it is easy to perform better search results. The URL  should also contain the primary keyword.

• HEADINGS

The contents in our page should be divided into paragraph and should have separate headings. We use H1, H2, H3, H4 tags for this. H1 tag is for the main title that the user will see when  he opens the page. H2, H3, H4 are the subheading, minor and normal headings. 

•  KEYWORD

We can include relevant keyword throughout in your content as the search engine can find what your content is about. Do not over use the keyword, it can sometime destroy your website. If we use the main keyword before  '.' or ',' it will have an additional value in SEO. We can bold or underline the keyword so that it will be easy for user to read.

• IMAGES

We can include images to our page to attract the users and also to break up the boring texts.Sometime the attractive images makes the reader stay on our page. Its better that we add images related to the content of our page. We can optimize the image by using primary keyword.

• LINKS

Use of internal links in your website is a great way to improve the SEO. Here we use anchor text optimization. Adding hyper links will be easy for the bots to crawl. If the links we provide is to a trust worthy site then our site will gain more benefit.
